Knowledge

We live in a time where knowledge is literally at our fingertips. We can spend our entire lives searching out more details to whatever bit of knowledge that we are pursuing. For the most part that is a good thing, except when pursuit of knowledge becomes our focus. In other words, instead of grasping for the wisdom to use our new found knowledge, we simply seek more knowledge. An example is Genesis 1. The Bible says “in the beginning ……God.” As we seek more knowledge, we focus on the nagging question of when was the “beginning”. Our focus becomes an effort to answer this unanswerable question instead of our focus simply being on God. I’m not advocating to stop seeking knowledge, I’m just encouraging to include some wisdom seeking in our efforts. And God is the foundation of wisdom, so let’s make an effort to seek Him this year. Happy searching! Blessings
