Choosing God’s Way

I love the story of King Josiah.(2 Chronicles 34ff) He was one of the few people that didn’t mind going against the crowd. He didn’t mind standing out from the rest. All the world around him was choosing evil, but he chose God. He chose goodness. He chose righteousness. He chose to stamp out the evil, to remove it from his world. God promised him that he would “go to his grave in peace” because of his willingness to humble himself and choose God’s way. One of the toughest things to do is to go against the “crowd”. It’s like we think if everybody else is doing it and they seem content then shouldn’t we do it too? The answer is NO! Take a look at the latest headlines. It seems as if evil is winning and people are not going to their graves in peace. Despair not though; God is not through with us. He is simply looking for some “Josiah’s”. He is looking for people that are willing to stand against the crowd and humbly choose God’s way. I’m going to try that today, will you join me? Blessings
