Selfie Day

Let me start by explaining. Those that really know me are familiar with the fact I am not a selfie fan. I will take one of a family thing or of a missionary team, but I hate taking pictures on myself just to take a picture by myself. I have gotten used to occasionally taking a photo of myself on vacation or important moments because I noticed I have rarely documented myself in those moments. But they are rare I believe (others may disagree).

Unfortunately, it can be difficult to take pictures of the students here at our school. Once I start to line one up and get their face so it has enough light, twenty other students come and jump in on the action. They will stand in front of the one I am trying to take a picture of. Normally when I want pictures I have to take them during class time and pull the students like competition winners out from the crowd.

Occasionally though I just want a picture of some of the students who hang out with me a lot. So I have started to use the selfie as a way to cut down on the number crashing the photo. Notice I did not say photobomb because that requires some stealth and an attempt to sneak into the photo. They blatantly jump in front of the camera.

The big problem I have with the selfie is to get enough sunlight to really see their face, this white boy gets completely washed out. So yes I do some post edit to remove some light from my face or add some to theirs.

This is Norweena (no clue on spelling but that is it sounded out) She is new to our baby class. She has already mastered Good Morning Steve.
This is one of the new Glorys (yest plural we now have 3). Also one of those trying to force their way into the picture.
This is Dory who I normally call Dora the Explorer. No she has no clue who that is.
This is our newest Joan.
Elisha
Jennifer and Lightness (or possibly likeness)
super smart Princess
The first Glory or also called Milla.
Fridas petting Buttercup during her 8th nap of the morning.
Ringo who always tries to cover his smile. Most o f the kids have stains on their teeth. Ringo is one of the few who is self conscious about it.
Aljoshia
Julian who I had to tickle to get a smile out of.
